Mount Albert/Ward 3 is still a rural-based community. Although the Town’s current policy is to maintain 83% of our Municipality as green space, we cannot be complacent about future growth.

I am not opposed to growth, however, the type of growth is important.  People need affordable housing, and as a Town we need to decide through public consultation, what form that housing will take. I propose we incorporate multiplex, mixed use, and low-rise options as part of our complete communities to meet the targets set for us by the Province.  Its important that all levels of government work collaboratively to provide a variety of options, including in the future, long-term care homes.
